I used to watch the oscars or emmys or soitnhmeg when I was a kid. The TV guide would have the voting thing in it, and i would try to take guesses. The thing is, I had never heard of most of the actors/directors/etc, nor many of the films. I really don’t know why though, I found it just as tedious & boring then as I do now. The only thing I can think of is because it was a special event kind of thing.
